Andrew Mauro, MSW Intern

Andrew is a social work graduate student currently pursuing his Master of Social Work degree. He has experience working in a Personalized Recovery Oriented Services program, supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges.

Andrew’s clinical approach is person-centered, collaborative, and holistic. He has facilitated groups focused on depression, self-confidence, anger management, and healthy sexuality, as well as experiential groups incorporating creativity, improvisation, and Internal Family Systems techniques. His passion lies in helping people explore identity, navigate life transitions, and build meaningful strategies for growth.

Drawing on both evidence-based practices and creative interventions, Andrew strives to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can share openly, process challenges, and work toward positive change. He believes deeply in the power of therapy to foster self-discovery, healing, and empowerment.

Andrew works with adults, adolescents, and children for individual counseling in our Melville, NY office.
